Badsey Society Archive & Museum Collection

Badsey, near Evesham

The Badsey Society, based in the Vale of Evesham in Worcestershire, has a growing archive, library and museum collection containing books, documents, implements and other miscellaneous items related to the villages of Badsey, Aldington and Wickhamford.

To begin with, the items were stored in the homes of individual Committee members but, a few years ago, a room in the Remembrance Hall became available for us to rent. Archival-quality storage boxes, as used in Record Offices, were purchased.

As it is not easy to display this repository to the outside world, we have created a virtual museum and archive which brings the items to a world-wide audience. When an item is donated, it is added to the catalogue and placed on the website. Occasionally we get requests from people to make an appointment to look at an item in more detail.
